What is it about?

Control of a jet injected into crossflow using square wave temporal excitation of the jet fluid, is studied experimentally using laser diagnostics. For the first time it is demonstrated that such excitation can influence both jet penetration and molecular mixing, but that optimization of both of these metrics may not always occur under the same operating conditions.
