What is it about?
By combining the latest manufacturing techniques with the new composite materials and with new design methods cheaper, lighter and better-performing aircraft structures become a viable prospect. As such, we develop a variable stiffness, unitized, integrated-stiffener thermoplastic composite wingbox, which is manufactured by laser assisted automatic tape placement (LATP) with winding and in-situ consolidation.
