Input Mapping for Model Calibration with Application to Wing Aerodynamics

What is it about?

We develop a new model calibration method that allows the utilization of fast, low fidelity models to predict complex physical behavior by using a small amount of data from pretrained expensive, high fidelity models. The new method is demonstrated using a wing aerodynamics simulation example.
