What is it about?
Optimal control problems are challenging optimisation problems present in many fields of engineering, which often require numerical methods to be tackled. This paper presents a novel scheme which employs some important properties of a special class of polynomials. This allows to guarantee that the solution will not produce spurious oscillations and will satisfy a broad class of constraints for all times even if it is evaluated only on a small number of points.
