What is it about?
This work characterizes a GPU accelerated hybrid CFD methodology for fast predictions of rotorcraft performance with high accuracy compared to other methods of similar computational cost. New scripting for implementing the program on a multi-GPU accelerated desktop workstation allows for thousands of multirotor CFD simulations to be completed in a reasonable amount of time. The methodology is suited for applications such as Monte Carlo simulation and the creation of rotor performance lookup tables to support flight vehicle and controller design.
