What is it about?

Quadrotor aerial vehicles thrust experience ground effect when they are close to ground plane. The ground effect increase rotor thrust and rotor wake flow push the body. Therefore, unsteady force acting quadrotor make it hard to soft and accurate target landing. We visualized the wake flow structure of a quadrotor relation to thrust change in ground effect. The objective of the study is to reveal effect of fountain flow formation in the wake on quadrotor rotor thrust.
