What is it about?

Typically deformations on aircraft wings are assumed to be small, however new concepts such as flared folding wingtips (FFWTs) exibt large deformations, which must be accounted for to model the dynamics of the system. This paper explores both numerically and with experiments, how the large deformation of FFWTs affect the behaviour of the entire wing.
