What is it about?
Most battery-driven urban air mobility (UAM) vehicles have been restricted the range to intracity operation by the battery technology limitations. To this end, we propose a generic design methodology for designing vertical take-off and landing aircraft with a hybrid-electric propulsion system as an alternative to facilitate intercity missions for urban air mobility.
