What is it about?

A 6-ft hingeless rotor was tested in a wind tunnel to study the performance and load level with lift offset at high advance ratios. The rotor is more efficient in generating thrust and exhibits higher lift-to-drag ratio with lift offset, but the structural load level is significantly higher than that of an articulated rotor.
