What is it about?
Rotorcraft have the ability to take off and land vertically, hover, and taxi near the ground, they frequently operate in ground-effect environments and close to obstacles. Nevertheless, the aerodynamic interference between rotorcraft and the ground generates unsteady airloads on the rotor blades and degrades performance. Thus, the complex tandem rotor/ground-obstacle interference is investigated, and the airloads, flow fields, and wake of the tandem rotor with the obstacle located at different positions are analyzed.
