What is it about?
Wind-tunnel testing continues to have a powerful impact on the aircraft design process. The complexity of the flow around an aircraft model tested in a wind-tunnel at low-speed and high angle-of-attack challenges the ability to obtain high definition results in such an important section of the aircraft performance envelope. This paper explores how to enhance the current capabilities of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) Trisonic Wind Tunnel (TWT) to refine test results obtained when studying semispan models in those demanding conditions.
