What is it about?
At the time of designing a new system the designer, often, overlooks the operation and economic aspect of the operators, leading to an inferior design solution. The effort here demonstrates the need to capture the unmodeled interactions between the various disciplines and seeks to simultaneously solve the aircraft design, airline allocation, and revenue management problem posed as one large optimization problem. In other words, how an aircraft manufacturer would design a 'yet-to-be-acquired' aircraft considering the operations and economics of the airline. That way, we can have a vehicle designed to perform more optimally for its identified market segments.
