What is it about?
A new computational fluid dynamics strategy for high-lift aerodynamic flows is presented. It combines advanced CFD-compatible transition modeling with a scale-resolving, hybrid RANS/LES turbulence modeling strategy. It is applied to a three-element airfoil, and the simulation predictions are validated against experimental data.
