What is it about?
The advent of reusable rockets has made space exploration cheaper and more viable. With this, a few challenges arise such as increased noise levels due to exhaust impinging on the ground, structural fatigue, and hot gas ingestion. Therefore, it is imperative to characterize high-temperature jets issued from the rocket nozzle and then employ a control technique to minimize the plume unsteadiness and noise levels. This study is one such step toward making rockets safer.
