What is it about?
The interactions between propellers and wings are inherently unsteady in nature. New aircraft concepts for electric urban and advanced air mobility (UAM/AAM) concepts also take off and land vertically (eVTOL). Thus these interactions need to be studied, especially during the conversion maneuver from hover to cruise to inform the aircraft design and operating conditions.

Why is it important?
The aerodynamic interactions of the propeller and wing have been studied experimentally. Significant findings include asymmetric regions of propeller wah on teh wing during axial flight and large wing download during edgewise flight conditions.
