What is it about?
Flight training is an expensive endeavor. Using flight simulators during the training process can reduce training costs. This study provides a method to identify the right tasks that should be trained on a simulator. it also validates that the list of tasks to be trained on simulator is not a static list but actually one that varies based on prevailing aircraft and simulator rental rates.

Why is it important?
The pilot shortage is real. While some fluctuations may occur, the demand-supply gap is growing. Simulators are a great tool to help with this problem. However, the ad-hoc approaches currently in use are not helping.
