Effects of Propulsion System Operation on Military Aircraft Survivability

What is it about?

In this paper, a methodology for estimating the effects of the propulsion system on the survivability of military aircraft is presented. The method is applied to a study comparing two aircraft/engine configurations in different combat scenarios, successfully demonstrating the trends in aircraft performance associated with propulsion system design characteristics.
