What is it about?
Science Communication paper on a portuguese magazine for teachers. Insulin was discovered in 1921, transforming diabetes from a death sentence into a manageable chronic condition. The background of the image features a copy of the Ebers Papyrus (dating back to around 1550 BC, the oldest known document referencing diabetes), which takes on a fluid essence, symbolizing the nature of the disease. Emerging from this background is the molecular representation of insulin.
