What is it about?
There is definite histological evidence that NASH, and also NASH-cirrhosis may occur despite normal or near normal liver enzymes in patients with type 2 diabetes, conflicting with the well-accepted paradigm that elevated liver enzymes are a criterion for additional diagnostic tests.
