What is it about?
Genital infections are a frequent side effect of SGLT2 inhibitors, which are drugs used for type 2 diabetes. This study explores the characteristics of patients using SGLT2 inhibitors which are associated with a higher risk of genital infections. Smokers taking SGLT2 inhibitors have a considerably higher risk of genital infections than non-smokers.
