We offer suggestions for internal audit leaders who struggle to attract high quality internal audit candidates such as improving the variety of internal audit work (e.g., less internal control work) and better pay and progression within the company.

This is an important study that reports that external auditors are some of the driving force behind the negative perceptions of internal auditors. Additionally we offer practical suggestions for how internal audit functions can become more attractive to potential candidates.
