What is it about?
We show that compositional compressibility of a fluid mix in a the interface layer is inconsistent with incompressibility of pure fluid. The result is a computational instability. Further, we derive the fully incompressible model as a ssytematic approximation of the compositionally compressible one. Experimental parameter identification procedure is defined for the phase field model with diffusive motion of the triple line.
