What is it about?
Regulated negative pressure-assisted wound therapy is fundamental for wound healing, yet bacterial clearance and biofilm buildup remain a challenge. We used a nanotechnology-based, image-guided approach to quantify the bacterial cloud that migrated through a wound in a rat model, and to show that early irrigation blocks biofilm buildup in negative pressure-assisted wound therapy.
