What is it about?
As kidney transplant recipient myself, I provide commentary on a proposed measure for dialysis facilities. The measure would measure the performance of kidney transplant referrals from dialysis facilities.

Why is it important?
A kidney transplant is both a superior treatment in both outcomes and cost versus dialysis. However, the current CMS measures don't track kidney transplant referrals.
Perspectives
I provide a call to action for CMS. I am requesting that CMS mandate the collection of kidney transplant referrals.
