What is it about?
Patients with end stage kidney failure often have complex medical conditions and, in failing health, may stop hemodialysis therapy before their death. We examine the frequency of dialysis withdrawal, the reasons for withdrawal, the number of days a patient survives after stopping dialysis, and frequency of palliative care services provided to these patients before they die.
