What is it about?
Peritoneal dialysis is a treatment delivered in patients' own home for those with kidney failure. Infection is an important complication placing patients at risk of harm. In this paper, a summary of evidence-informed approach in how to identify those at risk, implement strategies to mitigate the risk of infection, diagnose the condition and treat to improve outcomes are outlined.
