What is it about?
Lupus is a disease that can cause inflammation of the kidneys. Rituximab is a medication that can reduce this inflammation in the kidneys by depleting a type of white blood cell in the blood known as a B-cell. Rituximab does not seem to benefit all patients with lupus. In this analysis we show that rituximab is most likely to benefit patients whose B-cells in the blood are depleted to a greater degree and for a more prolonged period of time.
