What is it about?

This is a survey of the literature potentially relevant to risk assessment processes in general. Risk assessment is an interesting cognitive task, requiring people to understand various features and map these to a prediction of outcomes. You could think of this as a situation awareness task, but one where projection is very critical. The ability to assess risk is important in triage situations, frailty assessments, and placements in long term care.

Perspectives

This is work from Alessandro Jatobá's Ph.D. It was fun to work with him to get it published. It may be my first (and so far only) review paper. I'm using this work again now for a project on screening for frailty. Lit reviews are always so useful.
