What is it about?

Diabetes is the commonest cause of kidney failure in the United States. There is no treatment once diabetes begins to affect the kidneys. In our quest to find treatments, we need to fully understand how diabetes dmages the kidney and to find ways to prevent it or slow it down.

Why is it important?

The lack of definitive treatment for diabetes in the kidney is a big problem. This book provides the avenue for everything regarding diabetes and the kidney to be discussed for medical students, residents and fellows and well as faculty in the hope that better ways to prevent or manage the disease can be found.

Perspectives

This book is simply outstanding. It is up to date and has all the relevant information for trainees, teachers and researchers. It is a must read if you are interested in the subjected.
