What is it about?

: Recent studies have attempted to elucidate the function of super enhancers by means of microRNAs. Although the functional outcomes of miR-1301 have become clearer, the pathways that regulate the expressions of miR-1301 remain unclear. The objective of this paper was to consider the pathway regulating expression of miR1301 and miR-1301 signaling pathways with the inhibition of cell proliferation.

Perspectives

Although we observed that the over-expression of miR1301 induced by the disruption of the KLF6 super enhancer could affect the cells proliferation in hepatoma cells, the reason for their function remains unclear. First, it is unclear howthe KLF6 super enhancer regulates the expression of miR1301. In addition, the exact mechanisms of cellular proliferation remain unclear. Finally, our study was only performed on hepatoma cells. Targeted analysis of the molecular pathways that regulate miR-1301 will provide further insight into the important role of the KLF6 super enhancer in the progression of human cancer.
