What is it about?

Diabetes is found in every place with every age group all across the world. Long term diabetes also impact other system in the body like liver, kidneys, eyes, and brain as well. In our study we demonstrate that thymoquinone administration to the experimental rats had protection in the deteriorating condition of long term diabetes.

Why is it important?

Once diabetes start, it is very hard to curtail it but one can try to delay and protect its secondary effects in order to have a better quality of life. Numerous of natural or synthetic products are being under study to be used to delay the harmful impact of diabetes and to attain a better quality of life in general. Thymoquinone showed this feature and attract our attention to study in detail.
