Why is it important?

It is imperative to take advantage of the huge Brazilian biodiversity to find new active compounds against different diseases, in special cancer. This study shows the effects of cedrelone, isolated from a native Brazilian plant, on TNBC cells, indicating that it is able to kill these cells. However, in vivo studies must confirm these effects in order to be able to confirm cedrelone as an anti-tumor chemotherapeutic agent.
