What is it about?
BLAST search allows us to find similar protein sequences for a given protein. SimExact allows to serach proteins having similar functions to given protein in an efficient way.

Why is it important?
If existing semantic similarity methods are used, searching for similar proteins from a large database would take longer time, making it practically not possible. SimExact makes it possible in reasonable time (few seconds).
