What is it about?
As a common practice in the brewery process, polyphenols are removed from beer to increase the product's self-life. Therefore, a stream containing several polyphenols with high antioxidant capacity and pharmacological effects, is discarded. This work aims to review the polyphenols present in the brewery waste stream and the health benefits associated to their consumption.
