What is it about?

Melatonin prevents formation of a toxic protein in Alzheimer's disease if used early enough in the process. This publication shows that administration of melatonin to mice which develop a genetic disease similar to Alzheimer's disease, can get rid of the toxic protein (amyloid) in their brains in a more efficient manner.
