What is it about?

A new approach to identify the methylation sites in the mitochondrial DNA. This procedure saves time and is cheaper. Amplification of the control region includes an RT-PCR, since treatment with bisulfite generates a chain with Uracil in DNA, which results from deamination of cytosine that is similar to RNA.
