What is it about?

SAPO-34/AlMCM-41, as a porous nanocomposite molecular sieve was prepared by sequential hydrothermal and dry-gel methods. This work aimed to induce mesoporosity (mesoporous AlMCM-41) and reduce the molecular resistance in pure SAPO-34 catalysts making a micro-meso porous composite. Catalytic conversion of methanol to light olefins over Pure AlMCM-41, SAPO-34, their physical mixture and the prepared composite were compared. Some structural and surface characteristics of the prepared materials were tested and discussed using different techniques including XRD, N2 isothermal adsorption-desorption, FESEM, FT-IR, NH3-TPD, and TG/DTG/DTA
