What is it about?

The nutritional quality of pig fat of the two most different breeds of Kemerovo and Pietren has been studied. At a live weight of 100 kg in the Kemerovo breed, the thickness of subcutaneous fat was 35.8 mm, in Pietren – 19.6, the area of the muscular eye 24.7 and 45.8 sq. cm, organoleptic index - 4.5 and 3.3 points, intramuscular fat – 4.9 and 2.4%, SFA – 41.6 and 38.3%, PUFA - 15.2 and 19.4%, linoleic fatty acid – 15.1 and 19.2%, total cholesterol – 0.16 and 0.26%, respectively. Pig fat of these breeds and sunflower oil (control) were added to the quail feed 3.0-3.5%. At 23 weeks of age, quails weighed 204 g in the control, when consuming Kemerovo breed fat - 213 g, Pietren breed fat – 209 g, egg weight was 11.2, 11.4 and 10.6 g, total cholesterol in the blood serum was 129, 130 and 138%, LDL – 29, 29 and 45 units, lipid peroxides 1.1; 1.7 and 1.9 nmol MDA/mg, atherogenic index 0.57; 0.69 and 0.93. We have experimentally obtained evidence on a model object that animal fat containing more SFA, but less PUFA, especially linoleic fatty acid and cholesterol, when consumed by animals with feed, does not negatively, but positively affects the productivity and cardiovascular system of animals.
