Why is it important?

The formulation of the collagen scaffold impregnated with the Atorvastain using cow urine as solvent facilitates good mechanical strength with better wound healing activity. The percent wound healing activity and antimicrobial activity also observed from the collagen scaffold was found to be more significant compared with the scaffolds not containing statins.

Perspectives

This research article reflects the indigenous tradition involved in wound healing process along with current medication. The identification of interaction between medications and natural substances will helpfull in curing various pathological conditions faster with less adverse drug reactions.
