What is it about?

A statistical study between mesomorphic property and their structural properties is carried out to understand the effect of structural behavior on mesomorphic property. In the present study, ‘Mesophase Lower Transition Temperatures’ (MLTTs) are taken as mesomorphic property.

Why is it important?

In the present study not only MLTTs are predicted, but an effort was also made to predict “Latent Transition Temperatures” (LTTs) of some non-mesomorphic compounds from the derived QSPR equation.

Perspectives

To save time, material, and labor, the theoretical methods can employ to estimate and predict the “mesomorphic property” before performing a routine flow of experimental work.
