What is it about?
Assessment of Cardiovascular Risk (CVD) is done by many prediction tools. Many risk factors are collectively bludged in the tool and the tool will give the prediction of CVD occurrence in the coming 10years. In this study, we collect data on risk factors for 532 Qatari diabetic patients. Then we obtained the CVD risk prediction in form of a percentage by two distinct CVD risk tools. Further, the risk was classified into different levels and compared by the two tools.

Why is it important?
Prediction of the CVD risk is crucial for primary prevention management. Evidence showed early CVD assessment reduces the burden of CVD, which is the leading cause of death globally.
Perspectives
Conducting this study was really amazing and interesting for me. It leads me to a conclusion of having our local CVD tool to help our population to fight CVD.
