What is it about?

Stilbene is a class of plant-derived phenolic compounds with a variety of biological activities, including anticancer and antitumor. We explore its interaction with Bcl-2 proteins, a group of proteins which prevent cell death in cancers. We applied in silico molecular docking to determine how well these compounds fit with the Bcl-2 proteins to block its function.

Why is it important?

Our findings contribute to the endeavor to identify potential treatments for cancer cell death, offering a promising approach for therapies by selecting lead compounds for cancer drug discovery.

Perspectives

Research and discovery have always been my interests. The opportunity to participate in this research and contribute to writing this paper has provided me with great satisfaction in my journey as a researcher. Together with my esteemed co-authors, we hope to make science more appealing to the masses.
