What is it about?

This study aims to identify the most significant potential impacts of artificial intelligence on scientific research and intellectual property, and mechanisms to reduce them at the level of organizations, countries, and individuals, through the narrative literature methodology, based on a review of what the foreign and Arab literature circulated in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The study found in its first question that artificial intelligence can help in the planning, design, operation and evaluation of many scientific research projects, and can replace the research assistant, however, there are many ethical caveats that have not been framed by appropriate legislation to deal with them so far. As for the second question, the researchers concluded the urgent need for legal and ethical frameworks that can adapt to the role of advanced artificial intelligence in content creation, innovation, and data processing, and it turned out that the determination of AI invention and copyright ownership is still a contentious issue, which requires legal reforms and clear standards.
