What is it about?

The importance of this study comes at a time when the phenomenon of private tutoring is increasing globally, regionally, and locally, and in the absence of national policies regulating this phenomenon. The study aimed to build a proposed conception of the organization and framing of private lessons in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the experiences of some countries. It tries to study the answer to the following main question: What is the proposed conception of organizing and framing private lessons in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the experiences of some countries? The study adopted the comparative approach, which compared different countries of the world to describe and analyze the reality and mechanisms of organizing and framing private lessons, and to reveal the similarities and differences from those mechanisms, where the organization and framing of private lessons was analyzed in East Asian countries such as China, Japan, South Korea ,and some Arab countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, and Tunisia. The study concluded with a set of results, which indicated the need to take into account the expertise of organizing and framing private lessons in the countries under study to issue the national policy for organizing and framing private lessons in the Sultanate of Oman. Emphasizing community participation and activating the role of parent councils and local levels in developing a national policy on private lessons. The Ministry of Education, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor, issued a national policy on private lessons. The Ministry of Education issued a national policy to organize and follow up private lessons via the Internet (elearning and electronic platforms) .

Perspectives

It is expected that the proposed concept designed by the researchers to regulating and frame private tutoring will be used considering the experiences of some countries in the Sultanate of Oman, and benefit from it locally and regionally.
