This paper looks at the attitudes and attributes that predict the odds of a woman not being a user of intra-uterine contraception. The data is derived from a large sample of women (N=1195)attending GP practices in the UK.

This paper gives some insight into the aspects of intra-uterine contraception that are unappealing to women. Addresses these aspects, in a contraceptive consultation, may widen the choices available to women in terms of highly effective contraception.
