What is it about?
The kidney is frequently involved in Takayasu disease. Renal artery is the district more often involved, because of an inflammation of the vascular wall that often determines a stenosis of the vessel. This may result in renovascular hypertension and may induce an ischemic damage to the renal parenchyma.
