What is it about?
In this study we found that the deficiency of vitamin D might be a pathophysiologic factor involved in the development of idiopathic deep vein thrombosis.

Why is it important?
The uniqueness of our work is that we excluded the secondary deep vein thrombosis (DVT), therefore the positive relationship between the deficiency of vitamin D and idiopathic DVT may represent the probable role of vitamin D in the development of DVT.
