What is it about?
We reported 2 cases with positive pancreatic autoantibodies, accompanied by Hashimoto's disease, and the observation of the progression to Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA), a special subtype of type 1 diabetes in adults. The study will discuss the possible connection of autoimmune background in thyroid disease and its relationship with diabetes.

Why is it important?
The GAD autoimmune antibodies are generally associated with autoimmune diabetes and stiff-man syndrome. Its positive can be also observed in thyroid disease. Will this connection have a common etiology, and what will we implement to early prevent the patients from progressing to the LADA, just an immunosuppression approach?
