What is it about?
We designed biocompatible nanodelivery systems for anti-Tuberculosis drug para amino salicylic acid by encapsulating it into Zn/Al layered double hydroxides.

Why is it important?
The designed Zn/Al-LDHS nanodelivery has higher efficacy than free drug, and highly biocompatible with human normal lung cells. The nanodlivery system relseases the anti-TB drug in a sustained manner in human body simulated PBS solution. The current research is an important step in making the chemotherapy of TB patient friendly.
