What is it about?

Assesing health-related quality of life in osteoporosis patients with or without fragility fractures should be part of the treatment plan. The impact of the diagnosis and its future possible complications could be huge, and interventions are needed towards increasing quality of life and all its components.

Why is it important?

It is one of the few studies conducted in Romania on quality of life and it is important for future management of osteoporosis in postmenopausal Romanian women

Perspectives

Writing this article with my co-authors was a great pleasure. An assesement of quality of life should not be boring and time-consuming as clinicians believe. It is important and it shows us that giving a diagnosis and precribing treatment are not sufficient in a chronic condition like osteoporosis. More interventions are required for better management.
